My dog paw print design is imprinted into wet clay on each of my small, handmade stoneware dishes. The cute pug image and "cave canem" (beware of dog) is screen printed onto each piece.
Use as a trinket bowl for earrings and jewelry, tea bag rest, pill dish, or as a mini spoon rest for coffee lovers. Each is handmade and is functional ceramic pottery, and is a unique gift for the dog lover in your life.
I screen printed my "Cave Canem" (Beware Of Dog) design, and hand painted with lead-free, non-toxic glaze. This design was inspired by a tile found at the historical site at Pompeii, Italy.

Once the clay was bone dry, I fired to bisque in my small home studio kiln. Bisque firing takes about 9+ hours. Once the bisque firing is complete, I screen printed the underglaze graphics, and bisque fired a 2nd time (another 9+ hours). The final glaze is hand painted, allowed to dry, and then fired again in the final stage (another 9+ hours).
The photo shows the actual piece you will receive. Expect slight perfect-imperfections, as each piece is 100% made by hand.
Caring for your piece:
» Dishwasher safe, however hand-washing is recommended. In order to prolong the glaze color, sheen, and overall durability, I recommend hand-washing with a mild detergent, like Dawn. Prolonged exposure to harsh detergents could eventually affect the glaze color.
» Microwave safe, but take care, as pottery can get hot.
» Do not place in oven or on stove top.
» Do not pour boiling water, as thermal shock could occur.
» The glaze is food safe, lead-free, and non-toxic.
» Ceramic pottery should be treated with care, as it can break, chip, or crack if dropped.
