The Lone Star State of Texas is kiln-fired onto each of my handmade stoneware dishes. Use as a trinket bowl for earrings and jewelry, tea bag rest, pill dish, or as a spoon rest for coffee and tea lovers. Perfect for college dorm gifts, and back to school university Texas pride. Each is handmade, hand painted with glaze, and is functional ceramic pottery.

Once the clay is bone dry, I fire to bisque in my small home studio kiln. Bisque firing takes about 8+ hours. Once the bisque firing is complete, the final glaze is hand painted, allowed to dry, and then fired again in the final stage (another 8+ hours).

Caring for your piece:
» Dishwasher safe, however hand-washing is recommended. In order to prolong the glaze sheen and overall durability, I recommend hand-washing with a mild detergent, like Dawn.
» Microwave safe, but take care, as pottery can get hot.
» Do not place in oven or on stove top.
» Do not pour boiling water, as thermal shock could occur.
» The glaze is food safe, lead-free, and non-toxic.
» Ceramic pottery should be treated with care, as it can break,
chip, or crack if dropped.
