Stormy and The Butterfly - Black Cat Original Acrylic Painting

My cat, Stormy, loves to hunt. Lizards are his favorite, more than butterflies, but he’ll take what he can get. This butterfly was just out of reach. Saved by the window...

This was an exercise using a painted ground. I typically don’t do that, but always like how the ground shows through on other artist’s paintings.

The original painting is acrylic on panel. This one-of-a-kind artwork is perfect for cat lovers.

The painting is from my own photo.

This piece is finished with archival cold wax medium, giving it a soft satiny finish.
